If you want to disconnect your practice management system from Fixed Price Dental, you've got two options. Unlink keeps the underlying credentials saved (so you can reconnect later or use the same credentials at another practice in your group). Unlink & Delete also wipes the connection record entirely.
What you'll need
- An admin account at this practice.
Steps
- Go to Setup → Integration.
- On the integration row, click Unlink/Delete (the trash icon).
- A confirmation dialog appears titled Unlink/Delete Integration explaining the choice.
- Choose:
- Unlink — disconnects this practice from the integration but keeps the configuration. The connection can be reused at any practice in your organisation via the Existing Connection tab in Configure Integration.
- Unlink & Delete — disconnects this practice and deletes the underlying connection record. Use this only when you're sure no other practice in your group needs it.
- Confirm. You'll be returned to Setup → Integration, which now shows "No interation configured." with the option to Configure Integration.
What changes after disconnecting
- The Availability menu item returns to the sidebar — you'll need to set up availability inside Fixed Price Dental directly. See the Your availability category.
- Practitioner-to-PMS links and appointment-type-to-PMS mappings are cleared. If you reconnect, you'll need to map them again.
- Bookings already in your PMS aren't affected — disconnecting only stops the flow of new data.
Tips & things to watch for
- If you'd rather just refresh the connection rather than disconnect (e.g. because of an expired token), use Reconnect instead.
- Choose Unlink (not delete) if there's any chance you'll come back to this software, or if another practice in your organisation still uses it.
