The default payment method is the card we charge each month. If you've added a new card or want to switch which one is used, set the new one as default.
What you'll need
- Two or more saved cards (you can't change the default if there's only one card).
Steps
- Go to Billing → Account.
- In the Payment Methods list, find the card you want to make default.
- Click the menu icon (three dots) on the right of the card row.
- Click Set as default.
- Confirm: "Set as Default Payment Method — Are you sure you want to set this as your default payment method? This will be used for all future transactions."
- Click Set as Default.
The yellow Default badge moves to the new card. Future monthly charges will use this card.
Tips & things to watch for
- The currently-default card is sorted to the top of the list.
- The currently-default card has the Set as default menu item disabled (it's already the default).
- If you also want to remove the previous default card, do it after switching the default — the default card itself can't be deleted.
- A failed payment on the previous default may be automatically retried against the new default.
