Delete a saved card you no longer use. You can't delete the default card — switch the default first if you need to remove it.
Steps
- Go to Billing → Account.
- Find the card in the Payment Methods list.
- Click the menu icon (three dots) at the end of the row.
- Click Delete.
- Confirm: "Delete Payment Method — Are you sure you want to delete this payment method? This action cannot be undone."
- Click Delete.
The card is removed and won't be available for future charges.
Why can't I delete the default?
The default card is the one we use for monthly billing. Deleting it without a backup would leave your billing without a payment method, so the portal disables the Delete menu item on the default card.
To remove the default card:
- Add another card if you don't already have one. See Add a payment method.
- Make the other card the default. See Change your default payment method.
- Now the previously-default card has its Delete option enabled — go ahead and remove it.
Tips & things to watch for
- Deleting a card doesn't immediately affect any in-flight charges already authorised.
- If you delete the only non-default card, your billing still works because the default remains.
