Update a recipient's name, email, or notification preferences — or remove them from the list when they shouldn't be receiving notifications anymore.
Edit a recipient
- Go to Setup → Notifications.
- Click the edit (pencil) icon on the row.
- Change the Name or Email, and toggle individual notification types on or off below the row.
- Click the check (save) icon. You'll see "Recipient updated".
- To exit without saving, click the × icon.
Remove a recipient
- Go to Setup → Notifications.
- Click the trash icon on the row.
- Confirm in the dialog.
The recipient is removed from the list and stops receiving notifications immediately.
Tips & things to watch for
- The save (check) button is only enabled when you've made a change.
- You can't have an empty practice — at least one recipient should typically remain so important notifications aren't missed. The portal does not enforce this; it's a best practice.
- If you remove the primary contact, set a new primary contact afterwards. See Set the primary contact for product updates.
- For a teammate who has left, also consider whether they need to be removed as a portal user. Notification recipients and portal users are separate lists. See Remove a teammate's access.
