Edit an appointment type

Update the name, duration, fee, inclusions, terms or any other field on an existing appointment type from the appointment types table.

Steps

1. Go to Setup → Appointment Types.
2. Find the appointment type you want to edit.
3. Click the edit icon at the end of the row. The edit dialog opens with the current values pre-filled.
4. Make your changes:
   • For an offer type, you can edit name, default duration, inclusions, terms, total fee, consult fee, No Gap flag, and service category.
   • For a custom type, you can edit name and default duration.
5. Click Save.

What changes immediately, what doesn't

• Existing bookings keep the price they were booked at — changing the total fee doesn't retroactively re-price old bookings.
• New bookings made after you save use the new values.
• Marketplace search visibility updates with the new service category and inclusions.

Tips & things to watch for

• Be careful changing the price on a popular offer — patients comparing across days may see different prices.
• Changing the service category on an offer type can move it to a different part of the marketplace search results.
• If you change durations, that affects the default duration for new practitioners enabling this type. Existing per-practitioner durations are preserved.
