Applies to non-integrated practices only.
Change a practitioner's availability schedule by editing the existing block, or remove it entirely.
Edit a block
- Go to Availability.
- Click the green Availability event on the calendar.
- The Edit Schedule dialog opens. Switch to the Edit Schedule tab.
- Change practitioner, date, times, slot duration, or repeat rule.
- Click Save.
Delete a block
- Open the block as above.
- On the Edit Schedule tab, click the Delete button on the bottom-left.
- Confirm: "Are you sure? This will permanently delete this availability schedule. This action cannot be undone."
The block is removed from the calendar.
Repeating schedules
If the block is a repeating one (weekly, fortnightly, weekdays), the dialog shows an info alert: "Editing or deleting this repeating schedule will take effect from {start date}."
This means:
- Editing changes the rule going forward from the schedule's original start date.
- Deleting removes the entire repeating series from that start date onwards.
You can't currently edit or delete a single instance of a repeating schedule without affecting the rest. If you need a one-off variation, the cleanest pattern is to:
- End the existing repeating schedule on a specific date by editing its repeat rule to On {that date}.
- Add a new schedule starting after that date with the new behaviour.
Or use a Hidden block to mask out a single date — see Hide a time window from online booking.
Tips & things to watch for
- Existing bookings inside a block you delete are not cancelled — the block being removed just stops new bookings from being made there.
- After saving an edit, the time slots within the block are regenerated. Allow a few minutes for them to publish.
