The interactive area chart on the dashboard shows your bookings over time, split into new patients and existing patients. Use it to spot trends — busy weeks, slow periods, and the impact of any changes you make to your listing or appointment types.
What you see
- A stacked area chart with Total Bookings as the title.
- Two series, layered: New patients and Existing patients.
- The X-axis is dates; the Y-axis is the booking count for that day.
- Hover over the chart to see the exact numbers for each day.
Choosing the time range
In the top-right of the chart, toggle between three views:
- 7d — last 7 days
- 30d — last 30 days
- 90d — last 3 months (default on desktop)
On mobile the chart defaults to the 7d view.
Reading the trend
- Both segments rising — overall growth.
- New segment rising, existing flat — marketplace acquisition is working.
- Existing segment rising, new flat — repeat patients coming back through Fixed Price Dental for follow-up bookings.
- Both flat or falling — investigate. Check your offer pricing, photos, opening hours, public listing.
Tips & things to watch for
- The chart is per-practice. Switch practices to compare.
- Days with no bookings show as zero.
- The chart is driven by booking creation date, not the appointment date. A booking made today for next month appears on today's bar.
- Cancelled bookings still appear in the totals (unless they were cancelled before being created — i.e. they don't).
