The Outcome column on Billing → Bookings tells you whether a booking will be charged. Here's what each badge means.
Outcome badges
Existing Patient (amber)
The booking was made through the marketplace, but the patient isn't a new patient at your practice. Not billable.
Cancelled (orange)
The booking was cancelled before the appointment. Not billable.
Pending Charge (blue)
The booking is a billable new patient who attended (or is on track to attend), but hasn't yet been included on a finalised invoice. It's expected to appear on the next invoice.
Charged (green)
The booking has been included on a finalised, paid invoice. The charge is complete.
No Charge (grey)
The booking would have been billable, but an approved billing adjustment removed it from the invoice. No charge will be made.
Adjustment badges (in the Adjustment column)
These appear when you've requested an adjustment on a booking:
- Awaiting Review — submitted, waiting on our team.
- Approved — adjustment accepted; the booking moves to No Charge.
- Rejected — adjustment declined; the booking remains billable.
Tips & things to watch for
- The badge updates as the booking moves through its lifecycle. A booking might start as Pending Charge, become No Charge when an adjustment is approved, or become Charged when the invoice is paid.
- Cancelled bookings stay visible in the table for transparency — you can see them but they aren't billed.
