Invite a colleague — receptionist, practice manager, dentist, anyone — to log in to the portal at this practice. Each teammate has their own login and a role at the practice.
What you'll need
- An admin account at this practice (only admins can invite users).
- The teammate's email address.
- A role for them: Admin or User (a standard user).
Steps
- Go to Setup → Users.
- Click Invite User in the top-right.
- Enter their Email.
- Pick the Role:
- Admin — Full access to all features including user management and integrations.
- User — Can manage bookings, availability, profile, and billing. No access to user management or integrations. The dialog shows the role description as you select it.
- Click Send Invite.
The teammate appears in the user list with a Pending badge until they accept. They'll receive an email with an invitation link.
What the teammate does
- They click the link in the invitation email.
- If they don't have a Fixed Price Dental account yet, they set a name and password.
- If they already have an account, they sign in and the invitation is automatically attached.
- They land in the portal with access to your practice.
Tips & things to watch for
- The role dropdown defaults to User (not Admin) — change if you specifically want them to have admin access.
- Invites are tied to the email address. If they accept with a different account, the invite won't link them to the practice — re-invite the right email.
- If the teammate doesn't get the email, check their spam folder. Pending invites can also be resent or cancelled — see Resend or cancel a pending invitation.
- Each invite is for this practice only. If you have multiple practices, send a separate invite for each.
