If a practitioner has left or is no longer being booked, archive them. Archiving keeps their historical bookings intact but removes them from your public listing and from any new booking flows.
Heads up: there's no in-portal way to bring back an archived practitioner. If you archive someone in error, contact support and we'll restore them for you.
Two ways to archive
You can archive from the practitioners list, or from the practitioner edit page.
From the list
- Go to Practitioners.
- Find the practitioner row.
- Click the delete (trash) icon at the end of the row.
- Confirm the action.
The practitioner moves to the Archived tab.
From the edit page
- Open the practitioner's edit page.
- Scroll to the Delete Practitioner card on the right (or at the bottom on mobile).
- Click Delete Practitioner.
- Confirm: "This will permanently delete {name} from your practice. This action cannot be undone."
What happens after archive
- The practitioner is removed from your public listing.
- They no longer appear as a bookable resource (in availability, in booking forms, etc.).
- Existing bookings under their name remain in your bookings list with all their data intact.
- Their PMS link (if you're integrated) is preserved on the record but isn't actively used until they're restored.
What if I made a mistake?
There's no in-portal Restore action. The Active / Archived tabs let you view archived practitioners, but archived rows have no actions. To restore a practitioner, contact support with their name and we'll bring them back.
Tips & things to watch for
- Archive rather than re-create. If someone returns later, contact support to restore — re-creating loses their history and links.
- Archive only when you're sure. The dialog warns "This action cannot be undone" and there's no in-portal undo.
