Applies to non-integrated practices only.
When an Availability block has generated slots, you can hide individual slots from patients without changing the block itself. This is useful when you want most of the block bookable but need one or two slots blocked off.
Steps
- Go to Availability and click the green Availability event.
- Switch to the Manage Availability tab.
- Click the time slot chip you want to toggle:
- Currently green (published) → click it to unpublish. Patients lose visibility of that slot. You'll see a "Time slot unpublished" toast.
- Currently grey (unpublished) → click it to publish. Patients can book it again. You'll see "Time slot published".
- Repeat for every slot you want to change.
The change is saved immediately on each click — there's no separate Save button.
When to unpublish a slot vs use a Hidden block
- Unpublish individual slots when you want to hide one or two specific time slots within an otherwise normal block (e.g. you've taken a single appointment by phone and need to remove that slot from the online list).
- Hidden block when you want to mask a longer window or repeat a pattern (e.g. every Wednesday 12–1pm for lunch).
Tips & things to watch for
- Toggling is per-slot. There's no bulk "publish all" or "unpublish all" action — for big changes, edit the block itself.
- Unpublishing doesn't cancel any existing booking that fell on that slot. It just removes it from future availability.
- Unpublished slots don't disappear — they remain greyed out so you can re-publish them later.
