If a block is no longer needed (the patient has been spoken to, or the issue has been resolved), remove it from the Blocked Patients list.
Steps
- In the sidebar, expand Patients and click Blocked Patients.
- Find the block in the table.
- Click the delete icon at the end of the row.
- Confirm the deletion.
The block is removed and that patient can attempt to book again.
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't notify the patient that the block has been removed.
- It doesn't restore any cancelled appointments — they're gone.
- It doesn't unblock them at any other practices on your billing account — blocks are per-practice.
Tips & things to watch for
- If you remove a block in error, you can re-add it from the Block Patient dialog with the same matching details.
- If you'd like a record of why the block was removed, note it in your own systems — there's no in-portal log of removed blocks.
