For some policies you can require patients to actively agree before they can finish a booking. This is useful for policies where you need a clear acknowledgement (e.g. cancellation or no-show fees).
What you'll need
- A catalog policy that supports consent. Not every policy can be made consent-required — only the ones that show the Require mandatory consent checkbox.
Steps
- Go to Setup → Policies.
- Find the policy you want consent on.
- Underneath the textarea, tick the Require mandatory consent checkbox.
- Click Save.
The next time a patient is booking with you, they'll be required to click "I agree" on that policy before the booking can complete.
Tips & things to watch for
- Use consent sparingly — every required consent slows the booking flow and can lower conversion. Use it only where you genuinely need a record of acknowledgement.
- The patient sees the text exactly as you've written it in the textarea above. Be explicit about what they're agreeing to.
- If a policy doesn't show the Require mandatory consent checkbox, that policy isn't eligible for required consent.
