Fixed Price Dental can send patients an automated reminder 24 hours before their appointment. Whether reminders are on or off for your practice is shown on the Communications page. The toggle itself is read-only — to switch it on or off, contact support.
How to check the current setting
- Go to Setup → Communications.
- Look at the Send Booking Reminders card at the top.
- The accompanying text reads: "Automatic booking reminders are currently enabled (or disabled) for your practice. Reminders are sent 24 hours prior to appointments. Contact support to modify this setting."
- The switch on the right shows the current state. It's locked — you can't change it from this page.
How to turn reminders on or off
Use the Support link in the sidebar (or email us using the support address on fixeddental.com.au) and tell us:
- Your practice name.
- Whether you'd like reminders enabled or disabled.
We'll update the setting and confirm by reply.
Tips & things to watch for
- Reminder emails include any custom message you've added on the same page. Be aware of that when toggling reminders on for the first time. See Add a custom message to your booking confirmations and reminders.
- Reminders go out 24 hours before the appointment time, no matter when the booking was made.
