Search for a patient

Patient Search lets you find a patient who has booked with you through Fixed Price Dental. It's the quickest way to find someone's contact details, date of birth, or email when you don't already have the booking open.

Steps

1. In the sidebar, expand Patients and click Patient Search.
2. The page subhead reads: "Enter a patient's name or mobile to search."
3. Type a name (any part) or mobile number into the search field.
4. The results table updates with matching patients showing:
   • First Name
   • Last Name
   • Date of Birth
   • Gender
   • Mobile (formatted)
   • Email

What's matched

• Names — first or last name, partial matches included. "smith" finds "Smith", "Smithson" and "Goldsmith".
• Mobile — partial matches on the digits.

What's not in the results

• Patients you've only seen in your PMS (without a Fixed Price Dental booking).
• Patients whose booking was cancelled before they entered enough data — there's nothing to match against.

Tips & things to watch for

• If a patient has multiple bookings, the same person can appear once for each booking with the appointment type details. The most reliable way to identify the right person is name + DOB + mobile.
• For booking-specific actions (cancel, reschedule, view details), use the Bookings list with a name filter instead — Patient Search is read-only.
• The results paginate; the page navigation appears at the bottom of the table.
